Londo Lodge is a perfect getaway for those who are seeking sun, romance, good food and diving. Londo Lodge, is an intimate, owner-run boutique beach lodge on a peninsula looking over Pemba Bay, on the southern border of Mozambique’s Quirimbas National Park. The bay is one of the largest bays in the world and It offers the opportunity to enjoy the turquoise waters and the largely unexplored reefs of this part of Mozambique, and to explore the bush of the national park. This unique lodge is a simple but equisite place for those who like to relax, eat good food and to enjoy scuba diving. Staff will pamper you and a stay in this lodge will guarantee you a tranquil but lovely time.

 

There are only six luxury villas at Londo Lodge to guarantee full exclusivity and privacy. Breathtaking sunset views over the Pemba bay area, delicious seafood, superb diving, immaculate service and true romance; experience the ultimate. Each ocean-view villa is built on a 7 meter high cliff overlooking the majestic Pemba bay. Octagon shaped, 75m2 large, outside teak decking, louvered 3 meter wide doors and traditional bamboo & thatch roofing; romance is all around. Every room has a deep coral bath and an outdoor shower. There is also a two-storey bedroom that overlooks the forest as well as the ocean. From your four-poster bed you see the glittering and wooley clouds.All villas are fitted with handmade UK mattresses, Belgian bed linen, in & outdoor bathrooms,

handmade chrome taps and showers, draped mosquito nets and a/c units. Eclectic in design, the villas have a delicate look & feel where Moroccan art blends in with traditional Maconde woodcraft and Victorian mirrors.

The lodge has a few very nice facilities as the fabulous restaurant that offers freshly caught lobster and other seafood. It has been awarded numerous awards such as the ‘Good Safari Guide 2008’ award.

The lovely spa overlooks the ocean and offers the basic massages and facials as well as aloe vera hair treatments. But the best thing about staying in Londo Lodge is their dive center.

If you are a beginner or experienced open water diver, the place is great for diving. You can dive from the lodge but boats are also used. Dive instructors will do a one on one or take you in small groups to show you Mozambiques under water wonders. The bigger part of the lodge activities' are marine based and you can go on dolphin spotting or whale watching trips. Dolphins and whales can be spotted too from the lodge if you are lucky- and in the right season. But they have a very nice walking safari to the nearest african village too. Daytrips to Pemba, a charming city at the far end of the bay is also possible. But you might want to spend some days at their lovely pool or have a dip in your private pool at your room sipping away icecold drinks.

A note on the flights.

From Dubai you take the Kenya Airways or Emirates flight of 4.5 hrs to Nairobi or direct to Dar es Salaam. From Nairobi there are direct flights to Pemba with the LAM where a speedboat will take you across the bay in 10 minutes. Mind you though: flights from Dubai to Nairobi are well priced but flights to Pemba can be costly because of the monopolist position the national airliner has to this tropical desitination. Another option is to fly from Dar es Salaam and onwards with LAM to Pemba. Please be informed that flightprices are not included in the offer price.
